I've been fishing team tournaments since I was seven years old. Fishing and tournament fishing is inside me, just as it was in my Father and Grandfathers. They were all very respected and accomplished tournament anglers in my hometown area.
I grew up on the floor of a local tackle store that my parents owned. I eventually followed that into a career in sales, both in the fishing industry for large distributors and later in life in the insurance field as a broker for BlueCross. In 2010 however, I actually quit my normal job to chase a dream, to fish for a living.
I started out guiding from scratch and on my own, and in 4 years have grown it to a point that I now require booking at least 2 months in advance. In 2013 I decided to mix in several larger tournaments to see if I could make a dream a reality. In 2014, I won my first major event, an FLW Rayovac Series event at Lake Guntersville.
This year I'll be fishing the Rayovac Series-Southeast division as well as the Bassmaster Northern Opens.
